Last week our team spent some time at CEDIA 2025, catching up with favorite brands and exploring the latest innovations in home technology. We’ve already posted deeper dive videos on AudioQuest, Kanto, Furrion, and Klipsch (linked below), but this recap is meant to give you a quick overview of what stood out—both the letdowns and the wins.
A Little Underwhelmed
We’ll be honest: this year’s show felt a little lighter than expected. A lot of brands seemed to be holding back, hinting at big things “next year” instead of showing them now. That left the floor feeling a bit thin.
- Samsung only appeared as a small part of the Harman booth, showing off The Frame Pro but missing out on opportunities to spotlight their latest TVs and the new JBL soundbars.
- LG skipped the booth entirely and only displayed their impressive 77-inch transparent OLED in a private room. Amazing, yes—but it didn’t make up for their absence on the show floor.
- Sony showed their new QD-OLED and an eye-catching 193” MicroLED with a high-end sound system—but at a price tag north of $750,000, it’s out of reach for most consumers.
- Sonos didn’t bring much new.
- TCL and Hisense were complete no-shows. The result? A show floor that felt a little quieter than we hoped.
Bright Spots That Caught Our Eye
That said, there was still plenty of gear and innovation worth getting excited about:
- AudioQuest filled an important gap with the new PowerQuest TV3, a compact, non-sacrificial power unit designed for slim installs and in-wall boxes.
- Kanto unveiled a heavy-duty full-motion mount for massive 100”+ TVs (including 115” and 116” models), along with a new desktop speaker and turntable.
- Furrion impressed with a competitively priced outdoor TV lineup that not only looks good but pairs with matching shade options.
- Control4 / Snap One went all out with immersive training and interactive experiences—something that installers and smart home pros will really appreciate.
- Masimo’s family of brands (Denon, Marantz, Polk, Bowers & Wilkins, Definitive Technology) launched the sleek new Horizon speaker in two sizes.
- Kaleidescape was everywhere—powering video demos across multiple booths, cementing their reputation as a premium media solution.
- KLH debuted their Model 7 speakers in private demos—clean, sharp, and impressive.
- Klipsch highlighted their new Flexus 12” subwoofer and a 4.1-channel outdoor system.
Why This Matters
Even in a year with fewer headline-grabbing launches, CEDIA proves why in-person events are still critical. Seeing a product in person, hearing a new speaker in a demo, or walking through a hands-on training can’t be replicated in a press release. Demos win hearts—and this year proved that again.
For Walts customers, what stood out this year points to trends you’ll be seeing more of in 2026:
- Bigger, better mounting solutions for oversized TVs.
- Outdoor entertainment that’s more stylish and more affordable.
- Smarter integration experiences from the brands that lead in home automation.
- Premium audio continues to push both design and performance.
Final Thoughts
CEDIA 2025 may not have delivered wall-to-wall product launches, but it still reminded us why these shows matter. In-person demos still win hearts. There’s no substitute for hearing, seeing, and experiencing gear firsthand.
As always, we’ll be keeping a close eye on what’s coming next, with CES just around the corner and 2026 promising some big reveals. Until then, check out our brand-specific videos for more in-depth looks, and let us know in the comments what you’re most excited about.
