Polar Pattern Options
The Carbon Mackie has five selectable polar patterns for you to choose from:
The Cardioid: Captures the sound in front of the microphone only, which makes it best for streaming, and recording vocals and instruments. The Super Cardioid is an even tighter pickup area in front of the mic, making it best for recording instruments.
Stereo: Captures sound from the left and right of the microphone. Good for recording choirs and instruments like an acoustic guitar.
